Hello everyone๐๐ป
Monday we were going to have a lesson at 4:00 but we couldn't find a
woman to come with us so we had to reschedule but we haven't been able
to yet. We ate dinner at the Hulse's house.
Tuesday we had District Meeting and I had to do the Book of Mormon
read from Ether 12.
We went to wawa for lunch.
We went the the Cassels house and practiced teaching the restoration
to Sister Cassel, her sister was the member present haha.
We did a lot of finding and stop bys.
We ate dinner at Hennings market. It's an all you can eat buffet type
thing. We ate with the Ackermans.
We talked to George about our missionary work and he told us stuff
about Pennsylvania. Guess what?! I caught a firefly or a lightning
bug, whatever you want to call it!!!! Best.day.ever.๐๐ป
Wednesday we had a lesson thing with Marjorie. Sister Robinson and I
found her at the library doing genealogy and Sister Summers and I
finally got in contact with her. She talked mostly about genealogy
work and her family and we tried to teach a brief restoration lesson
to her. Interesting lady.
Did more stop bys after that. Had a lesson with Steven. Sister Harward
came with us. We read Helaman 5 and gave him a gospel principles book
and a calendar to read a verse in the Bible or Book of Mormon every
day.
Ate dinner with the Sister Lazarowitz and her grandson (Asa) and his
friend. His friend is in our ward. He's 9 and his name is Tommy. I
asked how old him and Asa were and they said 9 and tommy says "I don't
look like I'm 9" I said "how old do you look?" And he said "I look
like I'm 4"๐ #shortprobs
We talked to Marjorie Blythe and her husband. She is a member and her
husband is not.
We talked to Estela Naranjo and her kids and they were super cute!
Thursday we had a lesson with Brother Santos. The lesson was all over
the place but we talked about keeping the sabbath day holy and temples
and family history.
We had a lesson with Ian. Hannah came with us. We talked mostly about prophets.
We were knocking on doors before dinner at the Jones and all of a
sudden something landed on my head and I went to wipe it off and
looked and my finger and it was POOP! A bird pooped on me!! Nasty. So
that is where my subject line comes from. We walk to dinner and I ask
if we could wash our hands and I get the poop of my head ๐
We had a Skype correlation with Brother Cassel.
The STLs came and we exchanged companions. I stayed here in Souderton
with Sister Nielson.
Friday we volunteered at mitzvah and they ordered pizza for someone's
birthday and we got to eat some :)
We had a lesson with Ashish and Sister Biermann came with us. He
talked the whole time and I couldn't understand like any of it.
We did a lot of finding and walking and talked with everyone we saw.
We were late to our dinner appointment with the Amaya's and we parked
our car and it started dumping rain and so we get out and started
running to their house and we got SOAKED. It was literally like we
jumped into a pool. We were drenched from head to toe. We get into the
house and Sister Amaya gives us clothes to change into and puts our
clothes in the dryer for us hahaha.
We exchanged back that night.
Saturday we did a lot of finding and stop bys.
We had a lesson with George with Sister Nelson and he asked a lot of
questions about our church and faith. He said everything makes sense.
He's great.
We met with Greg and Karol. We went through the baptismal interview
questions with Greg and he set himself with a date for August 26th and
I'm sad I won't be here.
We ate dinner with the Rollins.
Sunday, Greg and Karol came to church! Brother Amaya came to church!!
He always just stays in the parking lot!! It was a great Sunday.
We ate dinner with the Browns. They have a 4 year old daughter and she
said a joke to us "why did the cookie go to the doctor? It was feeling
crummy" ๐
We came home for Stake reports and emailed President.
Today Sister Collier called us and wants us to help her put groceries
away and we are going to paint and eat lunch with her. Sister Summers
is getting her hair cut today as well!
I am grateful for the opportunity that I get o be a missionary here in
Pennsylvania. I am grateful for the things I have learned and how I
have seen me grow this past almost 17 months. I know that this Gospel
is true and that it can bring joy to everyone's lives.
Love you all!
